Indirect Investments

Cbus invests indirectly in assets such as infrastructure, development capital and property using specialist vehicles including Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA) and Industry Funds Management (IFM).

UTA has invested in utilities like ElectraNet and Global Renewables.  ElectraNet constructs transmission lines and associated electrical infrastructure in S.A.  Global Renwables operates the Eastern Creek waste treatment plan in NSW.

 

UTA invests in seaports like the Port of Portland and DPI Terminals Adelaide and the Metro Transport Sydney rail system.

 

IFM has invested in Pacific Hydro.  The wind and hydro electricity generator is one of the world’s largest independent renewable energy companies. 

 

It has invested in Adelaide, Brisbane and N.T. airports, and has also invested in toll roads such as Interlink, Statewide, the Sydney Cross City Tunnel and Eastern Distributor.  The Spencer Street (Southern Cross) Railway Station redevelopment in Melbourne is also one of its investments.

 

Other investment vehicles include the Hotel, Leisure & Tourism Trust (HLTTA), and Industry Superannuation Property Trust Nos 1 & 2 (ISPT).
