Cbus commences partnership with Indigenous travel provider

15 October 2018

Cbus, Australia’s leading building and construction industry super fund, has commenced a new partnership with Indigenous travel provider Inspire Travel Management (ITM) following a competitive tender earlier this year.

Cbus CEO David Atkin said the fund was pleased to have the opportunity to support a majority-owned Indigenous enterprise focused on increasing representation within the travel industry.

“Inspire have clearly demonstrated that they have the expertise and capacity to manage travel programs for businesses like ours,” Mr Atkin said.

“Through ITM we have access to the best travel management technology and expertise at the best value so we can maintain our focus on delivering strong returns to our members.

“Being able to align our business with a company that has a strong value and purpose is a valuable opportunity for Cbus.

“We ‘re committed to contributing towards social change and economic opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.

“Cbus launched our Reconciliation Action Plan last December.”

ITM Managing Director Dwayne Good says he and his team very much look forward to working closely with Cbus Super.

“We’re really happy with this partnership,” says Mr Good.

“To have an organisation such as Cbus behind us, with its long and proud history, gives us confidence that we have a competitive and reliable offer.

“We’re truly dedicated to providing a level of care and service not usually seen from the big players in the travel management space.

“Travel is a fantastic industry that currently has a low level of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation.

“ITM is determined to support young Indigenous people to have meaningful careers in our industry.”
