Cbus manages over $17 billion of member’s superannuation money.

Our focus is on delivering strong, risk adjusted returns to our members over the longer term.

The Cbus Investment Team in partnership with the Fund's external investment adviser, Frontier, acts as adviser to the Cbus Board of Trustees and Investment Committee, assisting to develop and implement investment strategies and manage the day to day investment processes.

Frontier Investment Consulting provides the Fund with independent advice on investment objectives, strategies and investment managers. Frontier is an Australian owned company that provides advice to institutional investors, like Cbus. Cbus is a part owner of Frontier.

Reviewing the Investment Objectives and Strategic Asset Allocation

Each year, the Trustee, in consultation with its investment adviser, Frontier Investment Consulting, reviews the returns, risk, and correlation* between each asset class.  A model is used that combines return, risk and correlation assumptions, together with strategic asset allocation weights to determine the risk and return characteristics for each investment option.

The Trustee then determines any changes to the Strategic Asset Allocation, by investment option.

*Correlation refers to the impact that movements in value of one type of asset class has on other asset class values.
