Early release of your super
Government legislation allows for the early release of preserved super benefits before age 55 in very restricted circumstances, such as:
- Severe financial hardship
- Compassionate grounds (including: Permanent incapacity and Terminal medical conditions)
- Permanently departing from Australia, having been a temporary resident
Members are required to meet government criteria before benefits can be paid out in these circumstances.
