Cbus Property submits planning application for 435 Bourke Street, Melbourne
Cbus Property has submitted a planning application for its latest development at 435 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
Purchased in March 2018, the site spans close to 3,000 square metres across 140 and 150 Queen Street, 423 Bourke St and 27 McKillop Street in central Melbourne.
The new commercial tower will be known as 435 Bourke Street. It presents a rare and strategically important opportunity for the city of Melbourne with forecast shortages for high quality office space in the CBD.
The project will deliver over 65,000 square metres of premium-grade office and complementary floorspace, bringing almost $1 billion of investment and renewal to the Bourke Street/Queen Street precinct. It is important to Victoria in terms of the benefits it will offer to the public and the economic impact, including:
- Space for over 4,500 employees, in premium-grade, 5 Green Star office accommodation.
- The creation of a significant number of jobs over the 3-year construction period.
- The inclusion of a multi-purpose recreation hub.
Along with Collins Arch at 447 Collins Street, Melbourne and 1 William Street, Brisbane, the development of 435 Bourke Street continues the tradition of Cbus Property in the creation of high-quality commercial and office buildings in Australia.
