Cbus Super is delighted to welcome Michelle Murray to the leadership team in the role of Group Executive – Enterprise Transformation.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Trish Donohue said that Ms Murray will play a key role in driving the strategic transformation of the $40 billion fund that is expected to double in size within five to six years.
“Cbus and our members are fortunate that someone of Michelle’s calibre and experience has joined our team in a senior leadership role”, Ms Donohue said.
“Michelle is joining Cbus at a critical time of growth and opportunity and we believe her experience will help us to position the Fund for continued success into the future.
“Michelle comes to the Fund with extensive international and local experience in the Financial Services sector where she has successfully developed and led teams to plan, manage and deliver transformational change.”
Ms Murray said that her deep project management and practical consulting experience including her expertise in working with organisations to analyse readiness for change, prepare for it and successfully execute it, positions her well to take on the role with Cbus.
“I’m passionate about successfully leading change and I’m excited by the opportunity to build and develop talent within Cbus so we can continue to deliver on our investment, growth, engagement and retention strategies for our 750,000 members.
Ms Donohue said that Cbus continues to grow by all measures – in membership, in employers and in funds under management.
“Cbus has embarked on a transformation process that has seen us take greater direct control of our investment activities and of our member and employer advice and services,” Ms Donohue said.
“We are now positioning ourselves for the next phase of that transformation looking to continue to bring functions in-house, expanding our expertise and developing our digital offerings to deliver for members.”
Michelle Murray was most recently the Executive General Manager, Enterprise Projects & Change at NAB. Prior to that, Michelle successfully led teams with AMP, Maybank and ANZ.
