How the Growth (MySuper) option compares

Super is a long term investment, so when comparing funds, it's important to compare over longer time periods.

 

SuperRatings is a ratings agency that collects information from super funds to enable performance comparisons.

The graph below is based on SuperRatings comparisons, as at 30 June 2023 and it shows how the Growth (MySuper) investment option stacks up against the other similar investment options over three time periods in the survey.

^The Growth (MySuper) investment return is based on the crediting rate minus investment fees, taxes and until 31 January 2020, the percentage-based administration fee. Excludes fees and costs deducted directly from members’ accounts. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

*The median investment option return is taken from SuperRatings Fund Crediting Rate Survey - SR50 Balanced (60-76) Index for period ending 30 June 2023. The SR50 Balanced (60 -76) Index includes investment options that are broadly similar to the Growth (MySuper) investment option, as these funds are all diversified with an allocation to growth assets of between 60% and 76%.
