Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll receive an Employer Online activation link and a welcome email to your nominated email address, where you will finalise the setup of your account, including choosing your username and creating a password. You can then start managing your business’ super straight away.

After joining CBUS as an employer, print out the Standard Choice form (PDF) and give it to your new employees as early as possible — you're legally required to provide it within 28 days of their start date, but with Payday Super now in effect, we recommend giving it to them on day one.
From 1 July 2026, Payday Super generally requires super contributions to be received by your employees' super fund within 7 business days of each payday. For a new employee, you have 20 business days for the very first contribution. You also have 20 business days from the relevant payday for the first payment to a new fund when an employee changes funds. But the deadline can still arrive much sooner than the old 28 day mark, so don't leave the choice form until the last minute.
