Cbus Appointment of Investment Manager – ESG

11 November 2015

Following an extensive international search, Nicole Bradford will join the investment team as Investment Manager – ESG. Nicole’s appointment follows the departure of Louise Davidson who left the Fund earlier in the year to be the CEO of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors.

Nicole previously worked with GE Capital – Asia Pacific as Environmental and Social Risk Leader. In that role she was responsible for identifying, managing and monitoring ESG risks that could result from environmental and social conditions, liabilities and regulations of the $10 billion plus GE Capital Asia financial portfolio.

She also actively represented GE Capital in working groups and forums such as the World Resources Institute and the Environmental Bankers Association.

Nicole is also an active contributor on the World Resources Institute Portfolio Carbon Initiative, a scheme leader for the International Society of Sustainable Professionals and mentor for Executive Women Australia.

Kristian Fok, Executive Manager - Investment Strategy said, “We are delighted to have someone of Nicole’s calibre joining the Cbus investment team. Nicole’s international and direct ESG investing experience will be a great asset for Cbus as we ramp up our own company research and direct engagement program.”

Nicole said “I believe the finance industry can, and should, play a key role with integrating sustainability into business practices throughout the economy. I’m looking forward to working for a dynamic and innovative fund such as Cbus to help promote good governance and sustainability across a large portfolio.”

Nicole will also be the first Cbus investment team member to be located in the Fund’s Sydney offices and will commence on Monday 16 November.
