Chant West

Chant West uses their knowledge and experience of funds to compare them in a way that’s fair and rigorous, and on an ‘apples with apples’ basis with 5 Apples being their highest grade.

5 Apples for the overall Rating refers to the Highest Quality Fund and 5 Apples – Highly Recommended for the investment options means that Chant West believes that the investment option has a very high probability of meeting its stated investment objectives and is likely to deliver strong peer-relative outcomes over the long-term. It also indicates the strategy scores highly across each of Chant West’s key areas of assessment. 

Lonsec

The Recommended rating indicates that Lonsec has strong conviction the product can meet its investment objectives.

Lonsec adopts an investigative research approach, which evaluates a range of criteria including the investment process, people and resources, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, investor focus and commitment. Lonsec’s experienced analysts spend a substantial amount of time with all stakeholders involved in the management of an investment product.

The six level ratings categorisation has three positive ratings including Recommended, and Investment Grade. Negative ratings include Fund Watch, Redeem or Screened out.
