Cbus Super welcomes appointment of Alexandra Campbell as new Head of Infrastructure

Cbus Super welcomes the appointment of Alexandra Campbell as Head of Infrastructure for the $54 billion fund. Ms Campbell has held senior positions at Avoca Capital Advisors, Hastings Funds Management and, most recently, AustralianSuper.

Cbus CIO Kristian Fok described Ms Campbell as a proven leader in the infrastructure sector.

“Alex comes to Cbus with significant runs on the board as an infrastructure leader,” Mr Fok said.

“We are very pleased that she will be devoting her considerable talents to managing infrastructure investments on behalf of our 750,000 members.”

Cbus Portfolio Head of Private Markets, Grant Harrison, said Ms Campbell would build on the considerable success of the fund’s internalised infrastructure team.

“Cbus is one of the leading super funds for infrastructure investment in Australia,” Mr Harrison said. “We couldn’t be more pleased that Alex has chosen to lead this high-performing team.”

Ms Campbell said she was excited to be joining the fund as Cbus looks to play its part in Australia’s economic recovery.

“Undoubtedly this is a challenging time for markets, but this also gives rise to valuable investment opportunities,” Ms Campbell said. “I know Cbus is keen to partner with governments and other funds to source unique and innovative investment opportunities, and I am excited to be involved.”

Over recent years Cbus Super has made several direct investments and partnerships in infrastructure including Forth Ports in the United Kingdom and Bright Energy Investments, which is developing landmark renewable energy assets in Western Australia.
