Super options - Crediting rates

Cbus’ diversified investment options are designed with the medium to longer-term in mind. They invest across a range of asset types to help reduce the impact of short-term falls in share markets or other asset classes.

Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. Crediting rates are the return minus investment fees, the Trustee Operating Cost and taxes. Excludes account keeping administration fees.

Interim crediting rates apply from Friday 28 June 2019

Interim crediting rates are applied to member accounts for periods where a final declared rate is not available. It takes us longer to finalise the financial year end crediting rates, due to tax and other considerations.

Over the first three weeks of July, Cbus applies an ‘interim’ daily crediting rate for each investment option, based on valuations from the custodian.

The interim crediting rates are used to calculate member account balances and to value accounts for withdrawals and investment switches during the month of July. Around 20 July 2019, ‘final’ declared crediting rates will be available and member account balances and investment switches will be revalued.

Please note that withdrawals are treated differently and transactions that take place prior to the date final crediting rates are declared will not be revalued.

It is important to remember that investments may fluctuate in the short term but are generally more stable over the long term.

*These are interim crediting rates until 30 June 2019 accounts are finalised, which is expected by late July.
