Antony Thow joins Cbus leadership team
Cbus Super has appointed Antony Thow to the executive team in the role of Group Executive Brand, Growth and Product. The role oversees brand, growth, marketing and communications, as well as public affairs, industry partnerships, product development and advocacy.
Cbus Chief Executive Officer Justin Arter said Mr Thow’s skills and experience will drive further strong outcomes for members, “I’m delighted someone with Antony’s experience and credentials will be joining the Fund, Antony having held roles in industry super for 17 years.
“Antony will continue to strengthen and grow the strong Cbus brand, whilst aligning with our growth strategy, and focus on innovative products and the retirement phase for our members.
“The importance of growth to Cbus is reflected in Antony’s title and will be a key focus for him. Cbus has positioned ourselves strongly for the next phase of growth with our strategy to grow to $150 billion. Having the right team in place is essential for the journey of the Fund and to maximise opportunities to deliver for our members.”

Mr Thow will join Cbus in mid-July 2022.
Mr Arter thanked outgoing executive Robbie Campo for her successful tenure in the role and her outstanding advocacy for Cbus members.
Antony Thow bio
Antony Thow brings to the role experience and qualifications in management, financial services and law.
Antony has served as the Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of LUCRF Super since 2010, where his responsibilities have included leading the Fund’s strategic thinking, planning and execution and sponsoring the AustralianSuper merger work program. He was a trustee director for LUCRF Super from 2005 to 2010.
Antony has also held board and member council roles on the Australian Council of Super Investors (ACSI) from 2013 to present day, including serving as Vice President for four years. He held the roles of Victorian Branch Secretary, industrial officer and organiser for the National Union Workers (NUW) from 1994 to 2010.
His qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Management, AICD company directors’ course, Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from La Trobe University and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Monash University.
